Helixate^® FS: More Convenient Than Ever

We love being able to leave Helixate^® FS at room temperature now. [Helixate^® FS stored in a refrigerator at 2-8^°C (36-46^°F) is stable for the period indicated by the expiration date on the label. Within this period Helixate^® FS may be stored at room temperature, not to exceed 25C (77F), for up to 3 months, such as in home treatment situations.] My son and daughter are very active, and we use it before any of their major activities. Being able to leave it at room temperature makes it even more convenient, especially when Alex is dirt biking, quad running, or having soccer tournaments. Kristin is a softball player, and when she goes to a sporting event, she just throws it into her bag.

Before, we had to make sure it was in the cooler. Now, I can just throw it in my purse. We still have cases of ice packs, but they do double duty—now we use them for injuries.

We don’t try to hide the fact that both of our children have hemophilia. But for people who would like more discretion, room temp Helixate^® FS gives them that ability.
